Summary

The Client Services (CS) team at the Antwerp CellCarta site is responsible for generating budget proposals for histopathology and genomics services.  As part of the Client Services team, the (CM) - Genomics assesses the regulatory requirements, develops budget proposals and assists project shaping for incoming client requests for genomics services. The majority of the opportunities will concern human clinical trials or the development of new assays to be applied in clinical trials according to CellCarta quality system.

The CM - Genomics reports directly to the Vice President, Marketing and Sales Operations.

Responsibilities

The CM - Genomics is responsible to assess incoming opportunities and to scope out the project, costs and timelines, for requests for genomics services. From a geographical standpoint, the role is global as the CM will handle opportunities from all regions and for work to be performed at any relevant CellCarta site. 

More specifically, you will participate in the following:

  • Assess completeness of information, interact with Sales, Scientific Business Directors and client as applicable, to obtain or clarify requirements;
  • Assess regulatory requirements, interact with QA/Regulatory as applicable, to obtain feedback and approval on regulatory requirements;
  • Interact with other functions to ensure that CellCarta has the capacity and capabilities to meet the client requirements, and document feedback;
  • Generate detailed description of work for assay development proposals and quotes and present to relevant CellCarta stakeholders and to clients, as needed;
  • Provide technical and scientific oversight and assist in scoping out the optimization and validation strategy of incoming opportunities, according to the quality requirements;
  • Coach, support and manage Client Representatives for the generation of accurate budget proposals;
  • Work with other CellCarta sites and businesses to provide centralized, multi-site coordination for response to sponsor requests involving histopathology and genomics;
  • Ensure that relevant information is captured in the CRM;
  • Attend departmental meetings; develop and implement KPI, capture feedback from customers and present data to internal stakeholders, with a goal of continuous improvement;
  • Maintain a work culture that is focused on customer service, the highest quality results, and meeting deadlines. When needed, pro-actively search for mitigation strategies and escalate to relevant stakeholders;
  • Work with business development, marketing, scientific and financial staff to ensure quality customer service is provided;
  • Keep an oversight of the portfolio of key-accounts as it relates to genomics services, and translate encountered obstacles into lessons learned to facilitate the improvement of the organizational processes as it relates to Client Services tasks;
  • Work with other sites and businesses to supports the implementation of company-wide processes to ensure uniformity related to project set-up, pricing and documentation, as applicable;
  • Support Sales and Marketing strategies by providing business intelligence based on customer interactions;
  • Adhere to company policy on patient and client confidentiality;
  • Adhere to the applicable standards and regulations such ISO 13485, ISO 15189, CAP/CLIA, GC(L)P, 21 CFR part 820 and IVDR.

Education

  • PhD in Life Sciences. Genomics experience is preferred.

Main Requirements

  • Technical expertise and understanding of genomics assay development and interpretation processes in a pharmaceutical, biotech, contract research, diagnostic or life science industry;
  • Scientific knowledge of the genomics services in CellCarta is an asset;
  • Business acumen and experience with customer interactions and communication, focused on understanding their needs and translating this in assay development requirements;
  • Strong character and integrity; a consensus builder and innovator who thrives in a collegial atmosphere with a results-driven team;
  • Team player, stress-resistant, with strong communication and organizational skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Working Conditions

  • 100% remote work, however, must be located in Belgium.
